Portland Country Dance Community's
Labor Day Weekend Dance & Music Camp
In 2003 a central
Oregon conflagration inspired our last-minute move from Suttle Lake --
home to PCDC's Fall dance weekends for more than 20 years -- to Camp
Namanu in Sandy, Oregon. Everyone enjoyed the new location so much that
we've decided to return to Namanu this year, even without a forest fire
to motivate us.
Although we all had a sentimental attachment to the name "Suttle
Lake," somehow that seemed a less-than-perfect choice for an event 80
miles from our old fishing hole. So we chose a new
moniker: Northwest Passage.
The name may be different, but each year's camp continues to feature
a choice selection from the country's most exciting callers and
musicians.
